Super Moon 2014 – Germany

On August 10, 2014 the Moon reached its closest point to earth, the so called perigee.

In 2014, this happens three times, a phenomenon which occurs only every 20 years. The moon shines up to 14% bigger and 30% brighter as usual, that’s why it is called Super Moon.
