Mosel at Trittenheim

The village of Trittenheim lies approx. 30 km Moselle downwards from Trier on a spit of land which was formed by a Moselschleife. The valley is characterized by wine growing. Large areas are covered with vines planted in terraces up the slopes.

High in the vineyards, on the opposite side of the Moselle is the Hotel-Restaurant Zummethof. From the terrace one has a wonderful panoramic view of the Moselschleife and the wine places Trittenheim and Leiwen.
