Norbulingka in Lhasa - Tibet

Norbulingka 羅布林卡 in Lhasa, Tibet -China, once served as the summer residence of the Dalai Lama.

Norbulingka means Jewelled Park and was built as a palace for the 7th Dalai Lama in the 18th century. But every future Dalai Lama has built his own palace just next to the existing ones. Thus arose an extensive complex of 36 acres with several palaces.
