Parga - Greece

Parga is the jewel of the west coast of Greece and its tourist infrastructure leaves nothing to be desired.  The offer of restaurants and markets reflect that Parga is very much dominated by the British.

View from the fortress of Parga

The Venetian fortress, located high above the town, is the greatest attraction of Parga.  In its changeful history, Parga was under the rule of Byzantines, British, Ottomans and Venetians.

From the fortress you have a fantastic view over the old town with the harbor and the offshore islands of Paxos and Andipaxos.
